Man Accused of Fatally Shooting Girlfriend of 15 Years with Crossbow, Loading Arrows Sequentially Prosecution

In New York, a 61-year-old man is charged with murder after shooting his 15-year-old girlfriend in the face, belly, and chest with a crossbow, allegedly needing him to load the arrows one at a time.

Frank Litterio, 61, of Elma, was charged with one count of second-degree murder late last week, according to a statement provided by Erie County District Attorney John Flynn that Law&Crime was able to get. Prosecutors claim that on December 13, at approximately five o’clock in the evening, Litterio shot his lover Jill Harris, 62, inside their shared living room.

At a news conference, Erie County undersheriff Bill Cooley stated that upon police arrival at the residence, they found that Litterio had “self-inflicted wounds,” which included multiple puncture wounds to his chest, a cut to his neck, and damage to his wrist, according to Buffalo NBC affiliate WGRZ.

With one exception, Cooley indicated that all of the man’s wounds were “superficial,” but he would not go into detail. Additionally, the district attorney refrained from speculating on Litterio’s potential suicide attempt, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Additionally, when Erie County authorities arrived at the Elma residence, according to the police, Harris appeared to have been “dead for a while,” though it was unknown for how long.

There were few details released regarding the killing, but Flynn did reveal during the press conference last week that Litterio’s sister had called police to inquire about her brother’s well-being and request a check up on him.

Whether the couple argued or not is unknown, but officials claim Litterio behaved purposefully. “This was deliberate action, considering the process involved in loading and firing a crossbow,” Cooley said.

According to Flynn, the crossbow did not shoot “Robin Hood arrows.” “It’s a fairly potent tool,” said the district attorney. Authorities declared that they had never encountered a crossbow-related murder case in their locality, and Flynn reassured reporters that he “does not need a motive” to proceed with a case.

Following his apprehension, Litterio was taken by police to a nearby hospital for medical attention, where he is still being treated as of this Wednesday.

District attorney Flynn stated that Litterio’s defense attorney waived time on the case at his arraignment this week, pointing out that a felon normally has to appear in court within six days of being detained without bail. He will be moved right away to a prison facility following his treatment, and on January 29th, he will appear in court.

Requests for Litterio’s booking photo were not promptly answered by the sheriff’s office, and it is uncertain whether he has had one taken because he was taken right away to a medical facility.

Iran Executes 'Child Bride' Convicted of Husband's Murder Despite Global Appeals for Mercy

Human rights organizations had urged for mercy, but on Wednesday an Iranian lady who had been forced into marriage as a child and was imprisoned for killing her husband was put to death.

Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO), a Norwegian organization, claims that Samira Sabzian was hung at Ghezelhesar Prison.

Sabzian was the victim of “gender apartheid, child marriage, and domestic violence,” according to IHRNGO Director Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam.

“[T]he murdering machine of the corrupt and inept dictatorship claimed her life today. A tyranny that has survived only by murdering people and inciting terror,” Amiry-Moghaddam said in a statement. “Ali Khamenei and other leaders of the Islamic Republic must be held accountable for this crime.”

Sabzian was imprisoned for ten years after her husband’s murder. According to IHRNGO, Sabzian suffered from domestic abuse and was coerced into marriage at the age of 15. At the time of her arrest, she was the mother of two small children, one of whom was a newborn. For a decade, Sabzian was separated from them until they visited the prison to bid her farewell before her execution.

“Alarmed” by the execution, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights’ office expressed.

“We again urge Iran to establish a moratorium on all executions to abolish the death penalty,” according to the office.

According to IHRNGO, Iran has carried out about 200 executions of women since 2010, making it one of the countries that executes the most women worldwide. Even in situations of domestic abuse and violence, women are not entitled to divorce; in more than half of those cases, the women were found guilty of killing their husbands.

New Jersey Highway Crash Involving 13 Cars Results in Injuries, Fuel Leak from Tractor Trailer

According to accounts, on Tuesday night, a jackknifed tractor-trailer spilled diesel fuel across the highway and into the Passaic River, causing a 13-car pileup. According to sources, police and emergency personnel from New Jersey came to the scene.

A jackknifed tractor-trailer is seen obstructing both lanes of traffic in the Freedom News TV footage of the incident. A further view shows a firefighter from Paterson, New Jersey, sledding across a black ice-covered roadway.

A car on a flatbed tow truck with its entire rear end shattered and all of its airbags deployed is also seen in the footage.

A portion of the road flooded while Sarvjeet Singh, who was interviewed for the video, was driving. Before coming to a section of the road that was frozen, he indicated that he and other cars had driven through.

As more automobiles started crashing into one another, he continued, “All of a sudden they couldn’t control their cars.” He then pulled into a driveway. “I found out before that, there was a tractor-trailer that got hit by a car and there was a bad injury there.”

He noticed as he pulled into the driveway that the automobiles were smashing behind him.

He believed something was wrong with his brakes after driving through the water, but then he began to slip and discovered the road was slick.

Crushed bumpers, flat tires, broken lamps, and dented fenders are among the damaged cars seen in more footage that is captured on the black ice.

Cars were pointing in the direction opposite to the flow of traffic, and some cars were sideways on the road.

Additionally, fluid-cleaning crews were observed underneath the tractor-trailer. They were observed shoveling and sweeping a quick-dry material that is meant to absorb fluids like oil and other substances that can pollute the environment or create dangerous circumstances on routes.

On camera, a crew member is seen pointing to an area and inquiring as to whether it contained diesel. Photo evidence indicated that the tractor-trailer’s fuel tank was dented, resulting in fuel spilling onto the roadway.

Roadway sanding was done by salt trucks following the collision. Photos posted on the Paterson Police Department’s Facebook page depict officers responding to a coastal storm that passed through the region on Monday, which resulted in significant flooding and hazardous drivers.

After discovering her two five-year-old twins dead in the family’s apartment late on Monday night, a mother in New York City was devastated.

At approximately 11:20 p.m. on Monday, the New York City Police Department informed Fox News Digital that police responded to a 911 report for an assisted kid at 240 East 175th Street.

EMS arrived and declared the children who had received assistance dead on the spot. An unidentified woman reported to authorities that her kids were throwing up and that she might have given them Tylenol.

No foul play is suspected by the police. Chief of Detectives for the New York Police Department Joseph Kenny stated that all reports show the mother was “well engaged with everything to do with these children.”

“She was an active participant with their medical care, an active participant in their schooling,” he stated. Their family was calm and caring, and neighbors claimed she was a devoted mother. Right now, it just seems like a medical disaster until the medical examiner says otherwise.”

The NYPD informs Fox News Digital that the cause of death will be ascertained by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The probe is still going strong.
